Help for renters and owners
Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about rental boards, owner checks, posting, availability, and using TOLET safely.
Is TOLET a broker app?
No. TOLET is a rental discovery platform built around street boards and owner-posted properties. Renters can browse available information and contact owners directly without brokerage from TOLET.
How do I find a rental near me?
Open the rental map, choose a city or locality, and move the map to the area where you want to live. Pins show the property type and rent when that information is available.
What does a verified board mean?
An owner-posted board can go through proof and ownership checks before it is marked verified. Verification is a useful signal, but renters should still visit the property and check documents before paying anyone.
Can I search for hostels and PGs?
Yes. TOLET supports boys hostels, girls hostels, PGs and co-living stays alongside rooms, flats, independent houses and commercial properties.
How do owners post a property?
Open the web or mobile app, choose the property location, add rent and property details, and submit the board. Some posts may require owner proof before contact actions are enabled.
What if a property is already rented or incorrect?
Use the report option on the board. Reports help TOLET review stale, duplicate, misleading, or unavailable properties and keep the map useful.
Can I find jobs on TOLET?
Yes. Alongside rentals, TOLET maps local jobs from real employers: delivery and driving, retail, cooks, security guards, housekeeping, sales, telecallers, office and healthcare roles, and more. Each job shows the pay, shift and role, and you can apply online or call the employer directly.
Is it free to search and apply for jobs?
Yes. Browsing jobs on the map and contacting employers is completely free for job seekers. TOLET never charges you to find or apply for a job, and a genuine employer will never ask you to pay a deposit or fee to get one.
How much does it cost to post a job?
Posting a job is a paid listing for employers, a one-time fee of ₹499 per job post. There is no subscription and no commission on hiring. Searching and applying always stays free for job seekers.
How does posting a job work?
Pick the job location on the map, add the role, pay, shift, contact and an optional apply link, and submit. Our team reviews it, then confirms the one-time fee with you. Once the fee is received the job goes live on the map for 30 days. You can pause it, mark the position filled, or make it live again at any time.
How do I pay for a job post, and are there refunds?
After your job is approved, our team contacts you to collect the one-time fee. Once a job has been approved and published, the fee is non-refundable. If a post is rejected in review, no fee is charged.
Is it safe to pay through a listing?
Never pay a deposit or reservation amount before visiting the property, checking the owner or authorised representative, and reviewing the relevant documents and terms.
Can I use TOLET without installing the app?
Yes. The TOLET web app provides map-based rental search in a browser. The mobile apps are intended to make saving, calling, directions, and posting faster on the go.
